Oasis pupils experienced Christmas like never before thanks to a shoe box appeal organised by Kenton Colllege. Pupils at Kenton packaged over 60 boxes filled with pencils, rubbers, rulers, colours, soap, flannel, toys and books. They were carefully wrapped in shiny Christmas paper and delivered to Oasis. The smile on the Oasis children’s faces upon receiving their own Christmas box said it all. For most of them, they had never received new gifts before and certainly not one wrapped up smartly. There were squeals of delight and shouts of joy as the children opened their boxes and discovered the treasures inside. Many started running around waving their special items in the air, whilst others sat dumbfounded, lost for words at this incredible surprise. Thank you Kenton for making this the most special Christmas ever for Oasis.
